ZeroToBlock is a technical-first blockchain education platform that teaches the internal mechanics of Bitcoin protocol through hands-on, interactive simulations. Unlike traditional courses that rely on video or text, every concept — from SHA-256 hashing to the UTXO transaction model — is taught through live-running code simulations users can interact with in real time.
Blockchain education is largely surface-level — most platforms focus on trading, investing, or high-level overviews. Engineers and researchers who need to understand how the protocol actually works under the hood have no effective, interactive resource. The client needed a platform that could make complex cryptographic concepts (SHA-256, ECDSA, Merkle Trees) tangible and verifiable through real-time experimentation.
We built a fully interactive education platform using Next.js with real-time protocol simulations running in the browser. The Mini-Miner simulator lets users experiment with SHA-256 hashing, difficulty targets, and block mining live. Attack scenario modules allow learners to simulate 51% attacks, double-spending, and chain reorganizations. Each course module follows a "build, break, and verify" pedagogy — users don't just read about the protocol, they run it, break it, and observe why it works.
The platform launched with two structured courses — Bitcoin 101 (60-minute foundation) and Bitcoin Protocol Mastery (intermediate deep-dive). Average session duration exceeds 8 minutes, indicating deep engagement with the interactive simulations. The verification-first approach has been praised by security researchers and protocol developers. A roadmap for Ethereum Consensus, Layer 2 Systems, and Applied Cryptography courses is underway for 2026.
